Basketball Recap: Alliance Ted K. Tajima Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Alliance Ted K. Tajima Wolverines were beaten by the Gertz-Ressler Pumas 47-15.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gertz-Ressler to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jasmin Garcia, who posted six points along with eight steals and five assists. Garcia has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Bernadett Olivares was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Alliance Ted K. Tajima now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Gertz-Ressler, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

Alliance Ted K. Tajima does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gertz-Ressler, they will challenge Animo Robinson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gertz-Ressler's defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so Animo Robinson's offense will have their work cut out for them.
