Kell proved they can win big on Monday (they won by seven) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Westminster Wildcats. The victory continues a trend for the Longhorns in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won six in a row.

Kell's win bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Westminster, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-10 record.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Kell will take on rival Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Westminster is set to square off against their familiar foe Cambridge at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 3.8, the Bears 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
