Basketball Game Preview: Bassett Olympians vs. Ganesha Giants

Bassett is 2-8 against Ganesha since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Bassett Olympians will venture away from home to square off against the Ganesha Giants at 4:45 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Bassett took a blow against Edgewood, falling 56-4. The matchup marked the Olympians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Ganesha was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 44-29 to Workman. One positive for the Giants, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Bassett's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Ganesha, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Bassett took a serious blow against Ganesha when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 54-6. Can Bassett avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
