Soccer Recap: Arroyo Valley Comes Up Short

Arroyo Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the San Gorgonio Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 916th, while the Spartans are ranked 455th).

Arroyo Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-10-2. As for San Gorgonio, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2-1.
