Soccer Recap: McDonough Gets the Win

McDonough made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Hampton, but they still couldn't quite topple them. McDonough's defense stepped up to hand Hampton a 5-0 shutout on Friday. Jaylen Smith was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Larry Robertson, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the McDonough squad sat out for Friday's game. With Robertson sidelined, McDonough had to make some changes to the lineup. Calvin Moran played for 80 minutes having averaged 42.5 this season.

McDonough now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Hampton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
