La Quinta's tournament run continued when they took on San Dieguito Academy on Saturday. The La Quinta Aztecs managed a 31-25 win over the San Dieguito Academy Mustangs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Aztecs.

Leading La Quinta to victory were Katelyn Vo and Kaitlyn Mai. Vo posted seven points in addition to six boards and four steals, while Mai put up four points along with five boards and three steals.

La Quinta is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.2 points per game. As for San Dieguito Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

La Quinta will square off against Oxford Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for San Dieguito Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mt. Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
