Football Recap: South St. Paul Makes It Three in a Row at Home

South St. Paul's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Winona Winhawks by a score of 27-19. The Packers' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

South St. Paul pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.0 points over those games. As for Winona, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, South St. Paul will look to defend their home field on Friday against Chisago Lakes Area at 7:00 p.m. As for Winona, they will head out on the road to take on Kasson-Mantorville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
