Basketball Game Preview: Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters vs. Masterman

The Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters and Masterman will face off at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Abraham Lincoln's defense has only allowed 24.5 points per game this season, so Masterman's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Abraham Lincoln took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. It was close, but they capped 2024 with a 37-35 win over West Philadelphia. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Railsplitters have posted since January 22nd.

Meanwhile, Masterman was able to grind out a solid win over Little Flower Catholic for Girls on Friday, taking the game 34-24. The victory was all the more spectacular given Masterman's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 377th, while Little Flower Catholic for Girls is ranked 164th).

Abraham Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Masterman, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
