Soccer Recap: Oak Park Takes a Loss

Oak Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to the Camarillo Scorpions. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 832nd, while the Scorpions are ranked 228th).

Oak Park's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Camarillo, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Park will face off against Moorpark at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Moorpark's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Oak Park's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Camarillo, they will take on Royal at 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
