Basketball Game Preview: Carson Colts vs. San Pedro Pirates

Carson hasn't had much luck against San Pedro recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Carson Colts will head out on the road to challenge the San Pedro Pirates at 4:30 p.m. Carson will be strutting in after a win while San Pedro will be coming in after a defeat.

Carson is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 69-2 victory over Rancho Dominguez. The Colts pushed the score to 65-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lobos had no chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, San Pedro ended up a good deal behind Gardena on Thursday and lost 51-37.

Carson will need focus on slowing down Naomi Eneiko, one of several San Pedro players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 11 points. Madison Adrid was another key player, putting up ten points.

Carson has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. As for San Pedro, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9.

Carson came up short against San Pedro in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 50-45. Can Carson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
