Basketball Recap: Palisades Takes a Loss

Palisades was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They were beaten by the Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes 46-14. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 714th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 134th).

Schuylkill Haven got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Audrey Hutchinson out in front who posted 11 points. Anna Schaeffer was another key player, putting up ten points.

Palisades' defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Schuylkill Haven, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Palisades didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-29 loss against Salisbury Township on the 31st. As for Schuylkill Haven, they have also already played their next game, a 65-57 defeat against North Schuylkill on the 30th.
