Sioux Central is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since June 24, 2025 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Northwest Webster 7-6.

Meanwhile, West Bend-Mallard can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over South Central Calhoun. The Wolverines' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Sioux Central's record is now 4-8-1. As for West Bend-Mallard, their record now sits at 2-7.
