Westview typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Mission Hills proved too difficult a challenge. They slipped by the Westview Wolverines 62-61. The win was nothing new for the Grizzlies as they're now sitting on three straight.

Mission Hills' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maleena Nava led the charge by going 8-for-17 en route to 22 points along with five assists and three steals. Those 22 points gave Nava a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bay Cordova, who went 6-for-14 to rack up 17 points in addition to three steals and three blocks.

Westview's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mia Jacobson, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. The game was Jacobson's third in a row with at least 16 points. Maren Zimmer was another key player, going 9-for-14 on her way to 21 points and seven boards.

Mission Hills' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-8. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 50.5 points. As for Westview, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 17-8.

Mission Hills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 91-22 win against Del Norte on the 11th. As for Westview, they have also already played their next match, a 77-22 victory against Fallbrook on the 11th.
