Basketball Recap: Notre Dame Spirits vs. Gonzales Spartans
The Notre Dame Spirits won the last time they faced the Gonzales Spartans, and things went their way on Friday too. Notre Dame came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 43-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Notre Dame.
Aveena Ducusin was her usual excellent self, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Francesca Rossi was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Notre Dame's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Gonzales, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Notre Dame will face off against the Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gonzales, they will head out on the road to take on the Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Francis is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games.
