Football Recap: Mohawk Area Drops Highest Score of Season Against Western Beaver

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mohawk Area). They blew past the Western Beaver Golden Beavers 40-20 on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Warriors' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 445th, while the Golden Beavers are ranked 165th).

Lucas Stratton was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 127 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 127 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Bobby Fadden got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mohawk Area was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 251 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Mohawk Area's record is now 3-5. As for Western Beaver, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.
