Basketball Recap: Columbus Christian Takes a Loss

Columbus Christian lost against Medora back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Columbus Christian Crusaders took a blow against the Medora Hornets, falling 79-46.

Medora's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hudson Johnson led the charge by going 10 of 17 en route to 20 points. Johnson is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Trey Owen, who went 9 for 14 on his way to 18 points and seven rebounds.

Columbus Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Medora, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbus Christian will welcome Christian Academy of Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Medora, they will look to defend their home court on January 18th against Columbus Christian at 8:00 p.m.
