After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincoln, Buchholz was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Forest Wildcats a 9-0 shutout. Considering the Bobcats have won ten matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Buchholz got a great performance from Cohen Lafler as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave Lafler a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Kai So was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Roen Kresak, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Buchholz kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.

Buchholz's win bumped their record up to 22-1. As for Forest, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-11 record.

Looking ahead, Buchholz will be playing at home against Providence School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Bobcats have won 17 straight at home dating back to last season, while the Stallions won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Forest, they will head out to take on North Marion at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
