Softball Game Preview: Lewis-Palmer Rangers vs. Coronado Cougars

The Lewis-Palmer Rangers will venture away from home to challenge the Coronado Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 17 consecutive losses for Lewis-Palmer and three for Coronado.

Lewis-Palmer lost 18-6 to Lutheran on Monday.

Drew Capps made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mady Folph, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Coronado came up short against Mesa Ridge on Friday, falling 12-4.

Ar'Monie Faniel was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Lewis-Palmer's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Coronado, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.

Lewis-Palmer suffered a grim 16-5 defeat to Coronado when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Rangers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
