Soccer Recap: Jefferson County Comes Up Short

The matchup between Jefferson County and Oglethorpe County on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Jefferson County Warriors lost 8-1 to the Oglethorpe County Patriots. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to them when the teams met back in March of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Their goal came courtesy of Rodolfo Rodriguez, who's now up to two this season.

Jefferson County now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Oglethorpe County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Jefferson County will be playing in front of their home fans against Swainsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season. As for Oglethorpe County, they will head out to challenge Hart County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
