For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last six times Hays and Garden City have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Indians simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Buffaloes 48-20. That 28 point margin sets a new team best for the Indians this season.

Hays' victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Garden City, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hays will take on Junction City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bluejays' defense has only allowed 13.8 points per game this season, so the Indians' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Garden City, they will be playing at home against Liberal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
