Basketball Game Preview: Blue Hill Bobcats vs. Red Cloud Warriors

The Blue Hill Bobcats will face off against the Red Cloud Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Blue Hill beat Deshler 41-31. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Blue Hill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Reece Mlady, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds. Mlady has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 19 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ellie Mangers, who went 6-for-14 on her way to 18 points.

Meanwhile, Red Cloud had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They took down the Dragons 68-49.

Red Cloud found their leader in freshman Josie Faimon, who posted 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Faimon has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Brown, who scored 13 points.

Blue Hill's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Red Cloud, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 13-8.

Blue Hill might still be hurting after the 56-34 defeat they got from Red Cloud in their previous meeting last Saturday. Can Blue Hill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
