Soccer Game Preview: Mt. Pleasant vs. Oak Grove

The Mt. Pleasant Cardinals will head out on the road to square off against the Oak Grove Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Mt. Pleasant's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They won by a goal and slipped past San Jose 1-0. The Cardinals' winning goal came courtesy of EMILY ESPINOZA.

Meanwhile, Oak Grove hasn't lost a match since December 5, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They and Hill finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Eagles have been dealt a draw since back in January.

Mt. Pleasant is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. With that draw, Oak Grove's record moves to 10-1-3.

Mt. Pleasant might still be hurting after the 5-1 defeat they got from Oak Grove in their previous matchup back in January. Can Mt. Pleasant avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
