Capital had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes 10-0 on Thursday. Darian Monje was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Capital has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Hope Christian on the 23rd. As for Pojoaque Valley, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Bernalillo at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
