Softball Recap: Linn Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Victory

Linn entered their tilt with Pacific on Monday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They blew past the Indians 8-1. Considering the Wildcats have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Ava Warren made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in September. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Kenzy Hackmann was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Elli Dudenhoeffer was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Linn's record now sits at 23-4. As for Pacific, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Linn will venture away from home to square off against St. Elizabeth at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pacific, they will welcome Oakville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
