Softball Recap: Dublin Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Dublin's offense. They came up short against the Academy for Classical Education Gryphons on Thursday, falling 8-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Fighting Irish in their meetings with the Gryphons: they've now lost five in a row.

Dublin's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Academy for Classical Education, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Dublin will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Bleckley County at 5:30 p.m. The Fighting Irish's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Royals have averaged an impressive 10.9 runs per game this season. As for Academy for Classical Education, they will head out to face off against Southwest at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
