Soccer Game Preview: Otay Ranch vs. Olympian

The Otay Ranch Mustangs will challenge the Olympian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Otay Ranch's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Otay Ranch fell victim to Eastlake and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Titans. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Titans are ranked 26th).

Meanwhile, Olympian also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell just short of Hilltop by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Olympian's loss dropped their record down to 7-9-1. As for Otay Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5-3.

Otay Ranch skirted past Olympian 1-0 in their previous matchup back in January. Does Otay Ranch have another victory up their sleeve, or will Olympian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
