Basketball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 44-34 to the Oak Ridge Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 730th, while the Trojans are ranked 121st).

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Oak Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Marshall at 4:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Oak Ridge, they are taking a road trip to square off against Granite Bay at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Granite Bay will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Oak Ridge surely won't give up without a fight.
