Softball Recap: Milton Comes Up Short

Milton and South Effingham squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Milton had to settle for second. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 10-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 on Monday.

Milton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elizabeth Wilkes, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Milton and nudges their season record down to 17-12. As for South Effingham, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-3.

As of now, neither Milton nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
