Basketball Recap: Downingtown East Finds Playoff Glory Versus Chester

It's playoff time, and Downingtown East had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Chester Clippers by a score of 57-44 on Wednesday. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Clippers are ranked 114th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chester lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Imani Dorsey, who went 7-for-13 to rack up 17 points and three steals. She is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ja'Mya Muhammad, who went 6-for-8 on her way to 15 points and six boards.
