Paige Drueke leads Boyd County to victory over Creighton

The Boyd County Spartans had to endure an eight-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They pulled ahead with a 41-40 photo finish over Creighton. Boyd County's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Paige Drueke, who scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Boyd County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckenzie Snyder, who scored four points along with nine rebounds.
Boyd County's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-7. As for Creighton, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Boyd County's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bloomfield at 5:45 p.m. on December 30th. Creighton will finish 2023 at home by hosting Wausa at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Wausa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
