Football Game Preview: Lakeside Knights vs. Lincoln Leopards

The Lakeside Knights will square off against the Lincoln Leopards at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeside has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight losses, while Lincoln will come in with five straight wins.

Lakeside is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Sylvan-Lucas on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Knights were beaten by the Mustangs 58-6. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Lincoln played against Rock Hills on Friday and won via forfeit.

Lakeside now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Lakeside was dealt a bruising 52-6 defeat at the hands of Lincoln when the teams last played back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Leopards' Jeremiah Miller, who rushed for 105 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 104 yards and two touchdowns.
