First Presbyterian Day had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Tuesday. They never let the Piedmont Academy Cougars get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. Considering the Vikings have won 15 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

First Presbyterian Day's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Piedmont Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9.

Looking ahead, First Presbyterian Day will square off against Gatewood at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Piedmont Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Vikings' game: after the Vikings face off against the Gators, they'll take on Piedmont Academy again at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
