Softball Recap: Preston Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

While Preston put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Caney Valley. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Trojans. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by eight runs or more this season.

Preston's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Caney Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-11.

Looking ahead, Preston will square off against Collinsville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Caney Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
