Jonesboro can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Griffin Bears by a score of 6-3. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the 5-2 win the Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2022.

Joshua Wimbley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only three hits, the fewest he's had since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Edward Howell and Isiah Osby III did most of the damage at the plate: Howell scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances, while Osby III scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Jonesboro's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-12 and their overall record up to 4-15. As for Griffin, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-14.

Jonesboro will have a chance to go back-to-back against Griffin: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
