Softball Recap: Gering's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Gering entered their tilt with Chadron on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 10-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Gering got a big performance out of Maiya Blanco, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was Blanco's first of the season. Jacelyn Brown was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Gering hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive contests.

Gering's record is now 8-5. As for Chadron, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5.

Coming up, Gering will face off against Chase County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chadron, they will square off against Alliance on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.36 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of.
