Football Recap: Stockbridge Panthers vs. Quincy Orioles
Stockbridge extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They took a 40-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Quincy Orioles. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Orioles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
Despite the loss, Stockbridge still got an impressive performance from Noah Sandecki, who rushed for 96 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 154 yards and one TD on only 14 passes. Jayson Conant was another key player, picking up 118 receiving yards and one score.
As for Quincy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 54.0 points this season.
Quincy found their leader in sophomore Noah Kelley, who rushed for 234 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also picked up 42 receiving yards. Kelley's longest rush was for an incredible 85 yards.
Coming up, Stockbridge will be playing at home against Union City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Quincy, they will head out to face off against Comstock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
