Recap: Fall River Bulldogs vs. Shasta Wolves
After flying high against the Central Valley Falcons on Tuesday, the Fall River Bulldogs came back down to earth. Fall River fell 62-51 to Shasta on Thursday. Fall River found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 24 to ten on offense.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Serena Conway, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Conway scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mylah Darnell, who scored 11 points along with six steals.
Shasta's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Riley Rosales, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. That's the first time this season that Rosales pulled down eight or more rebounds. Joriana Gibbens-egolf was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine rebounds.
Fall River has fallen quite a ways from their 27-3 record last season and are now at 1-3. As for Shasta, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Fall River won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Placer at 4:00 p.m. on December 8th. Shasta won't have much time to rest: their next match is against University Prep at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. University Prep is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
