Nogales waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 42-30 win over the St. Lucy's Regents.

St. Lucy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Danika Mejico, who went 6 for 13 on her way to 13 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Mejico has become a key player for St. Lucy's: the team is 9-4 when she posts at least five steals, but 3-6 otherwise. Kira Carroll was another key player, putting up five points and six steals.

Nogales has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season. As for St. Lucy's, they dropped their record down to 12-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Nogales didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-39 loss against Duarte on the 28th. St. Lucy's has also already played their next game, a 60-11 defeat against Los Osos on the 29th.
