It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Patrick Henry had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Thousand Oaks Lancers a 4-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for the Patriots, who have now won seven matchups in a row.

They hit Thousand Oaks with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emma Cunningham (2), Briahna Gieger, and Kathryn Mokhov.

Patrick Henry pushed their record up to 16-8 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven contests. As for Thousand Oaks, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.
