Volleyball Recap: Lutheran Lions vs. Windsor Wizards

After flying high against Mead on Friday, Lutheran came back down to earth. The Lions fell just short of the Windsor Wizards by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Lions have struggled against the Wizards recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Gabriella Speckman paced Lutheran's offense, picking up 17 kills. Speckman got some help from Kate Wilson and her 29 assists. Wilson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Windsor's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Avery Smiley, who had 42 digs and four aces. Those 42 digs gave Smiley a new career-high. Jasmine White was another key player, getting ten digs and three aces.
