Basketball Recap: The Christian Academy Comes Up Short

The Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. The game between them and the Atlantic Christian Cougars didn't end well, with The Christian Academy falling 47-28. The Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Atlantic Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Gianna Flynn was nothing short of spectacular for Atlantic Christian: she went 10 for 19 on her way to 28 points and five rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Flynn has scored at least a third of Atlantic Christian's points. Caelyn Domsic was another key player, putting up eight points.

The Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Atlantic Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-1-1.

The Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 45-28 defeat against The City School on the 14th. As for Atlantic Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-21 loss against Delaware County Christian on the 14th.
