Soccer Recap: Monterey Takes a Loss

Monterey lost against Soledad back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Monterey Dores came up short against the Soledad Aztecs, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Dores can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 597th, while the Aztecs are ranked 89th).

Monterey has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Soledad, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-2.

As of now, neither Monterey nor Soledad have any future games scheduled.
