Basketball Recap: Mastery Charter North - Pickett Takes a Loss

Mastery Charter North - Pickett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Audenried 97-39. The Pumas were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-24.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Audenried to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shayla Smith, who posted 30 points. Smith's afternoon made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Jordyn Searles was another key player, putting up 21 points.

Mastery Charter North - Pickett now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Audenried, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

Mastery Charter North - Pickett will be playing at home against West Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Audenried, they will challenge Academy-Notre Dame De Namur at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
