Preview: Cathedral Prep Ramblers vs. General McLane Lancers
The Cathedral Prep Ramblers will look to defend their home court on Monday against the General McLane Lancers at 7:15 p.m. Cathedral Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully General McLane likes a good challenge.
Cathedral Prep can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 56-16 win over Harbor Creek at home. Given Cathedral Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while Harbor Creek is ranked 166th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, General McLane was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 39-33 to Erie.
Cathedral Prep's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35 points. As for General McLane, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Everything came up roses for Cathedral Prep against General McLane in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 66-20 win. Will Cathedral Prep repeat their success, or does General McLane have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
