Ridgeland has gone 9-1 against Gilmer recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Panthers will head out to challenge the Bobcats at 5:30 p.m.

Ridgeland came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against LaFayette, falling 9-1. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Alaina Shaver was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Gilmer ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Northwest Whitfield 3-2. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Mia Henson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Sarah Dale was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Ridgeland's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-13. As for Gilmer, their record now sits at 15-13.

Ridgeland was able to grind out a solid win over Gilmer in their previous meeting back in August, winning 6-2. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
