Softball Recap: Akron-Westfield Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Akron-Westfield had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the South O'Brien Wolverines. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-9 back in June.

Akron-Westfield's win bumped their record up to 20-3. As for South O'Brien, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-15.

Akron-Westfield has already played their next matchup, a 13-12 loss against St. Mary's on the 12th. South O'Brien does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
