Islands had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Calvary Day Cavaliers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Islands also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Evan Narvaez and Jack Stephans scored both of Islands' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 32 goals.

Islands pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those five matchups. As for Calvary Day, they moved to 7-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Islands will challenge Savannah Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Savannah Country Day will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Islands surely won't give up without a fight. As for Calvary Day, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 5-1 win against Statesboro on the 1st.
