Football Recap: Circle Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Circle extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Winfield Vikings. Thunderbirds fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Vikings since Friday.

Although Circle took the loss, they still got scores from Franklin Ekue, Jason Smith, and Dominic Sawyer.

Winfield's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. They haven't had any issues with Circle recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Dane Chattam had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 89 yards and a pair of scores. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending one pass.

Coming up, Circle will head out on the road to square off against Rose Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Winfield, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Wellington at 7:00 p.m. The Vikings will be up against the Crusaders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
