Basketball Game Preview: Philadelphia Montgomery Christian Academy Falcons vs. Renaissance Academy Knights

Philadelphia Montgomery Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against Renaissance Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Philadelphia Montgomery Christian Academy Falcons just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Renaissance Academy Knights at 5:00 p.m.

On Monday, Philadelphia Montgomery Christian Academy ended up a good deal behind Delaware County Christian and lost 37-23. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 525th, while the Knights are ranked 187th).

Meanwhile, Renaissance Academy can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They snuck past Lehigh Valley Academy with a 47-41 win.

Philadelphia Montgomery Christian Academy better focus on containing Raelyn Jones and Dallis Stewart as the pair were huge in Renaissance Academy's win. Jones went 6 for 14 on her way to 16 points and eight steals, while Stewart posted 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasira Barber, who put up eight points and ten rebounds.

Renaissance Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Philadelphia Montgomery Christian Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Renaissance Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.

Philadelphia Montgomery Christian Academy suffered a grim 45-19 defeat to Renaissance Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Philadelphia Montgomery Christian Academy was down 30-5.
