Soccer Recap: Northgate Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for Northgate after they claimed the first goal on Tuesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Starr's Mill Panthers by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by just one goal.

Northgate is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Starr's Mill, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Looking ahead, Northgate will challenge Banneker at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northgate's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Starr's Mill, they will square off against Lassiter at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
